My client base has included work in developing countries with communities impacted by ethnic conflict and gender based violence, asylum seekers and refugees in both community and detention settings, as well as consultancies to international agencies such as United Nations. Currently I work with serving Defence Force members and with individuals impacted by significant trauma or adult psychopathology, as well as individuals managing substance use working with the effects of childhood trauma on adult psychological functioning. I have an integrated perspective to psychotherapy and have a particular interest in both Gestalt and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I have undertaken additional training in Gestalt therapy as well as trauma related approaches such Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focussed therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. I completed training with the Harvard Programme for Refugee Trauma and Global Mental Health.
In my private practice, I see adults and couples presenting with a range of difficulties. I am also registered to accept referrals from the Department of Veteran Affairs and Medibank Health Solutions.
