Jacquie Myles PallisterJacquie Myles-Pallister is a registered Clinical Psychologist who works in part time private practice at Cambridge Psychology (formerly known as Abbotsford Psychology).

She also works as a Clinical Psychologist in community mental health for West Australian Country Health providing therapy across the Adult, Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS), Elderly and Aboriginal Teams. In addition, she provides group therapy in a private psychiatric hospital (a hospital specializing in addictions). She has also had experience working in a child psychology clinic, a forensic reintegration facility and various research projects. This variety of positions have given her experience working with a diverse range of client difficulties of varying severity.

Jacquie has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia, a Graduate Diploma of Psychology and Honours in Psychology from Edith Cowan University and a Masters of Psychology (Clinical) from Curtin University of Technology. She was the recipient of the Australian Psychological Society – College of Clinical Psychologists Student Prize (for excellence in clinical and research work).

Jacquie has specialized training and experience in the assessment and treatment of a full range of mental health issues, including (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem issues, relationship difficulties, personality disorders and psychosis. She also has experience and understanding of the demands and difficulties of working in defence services. Jacquie is trained in cognitive and personality assessments. Jacquie is passionate about working with adolescents and adults with complex trauma/PTSD to guide them to heal and reclaim their lives and future. Jacquie has followed her passion and interest in complex trauma by attending numerous specialized training with leaders in the field of trauma treatment so that she can offer the best service to her clients. Helping people recover and rebuild after trauma is the most rewarding part of being a Clinical Psychologist.

Jacquie provides a warm, empathic approach to therapy. She tailors therapy to meet the specific needs of her clients drawing on a range of therapeutic techniques. She guides her clients to gain a better understanding and awareness of the factors that lead to and maintain their current difficulties as well as practical strategies to manage and overcome them.
