Katarina Rakovska
Clinical Psychologist
Katarina Rakovska is a Clinical psychologist with a Master of Psychology (Clinical) degree from Curtin University and is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia. She has extensive experience in working with adults with a range of difficulties and she has a particular interest in trauma and addiction. She also has a special interest in Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and treatment resistant Depression. Katarina has trained in Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy and works closely with an authorised prescriber in a multidisciplinary team. Having migrated to Australia as a young adult, she has a profound appreciation and understanding of the challenges of emigrating and coming from a multilingual and multicultural background.
Katarina joined the practice in 2022 and has been offering individual therapy at Cambridge Psychology and at Cambridge Clinic. She is trained in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy through Monash MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) is actively involved in psychedelic practices in the southwest of Western Australia, as well as an MDMA – trauma trial in Perth. Katarina has also practiced in diverse interdisciplinary environments, including psychiatric hospitals, private practice, and Western Australia’s prison system. For over a decade, she has worked in various clinical and supervisory roles within the prison system, where she delivered treatment programs for individuals and groups.
