Marie Sevastos
Clinical Psychologist
Marie Sevastos is a Clinical Psychologist with First Class Honours in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Murdoch University. She is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society. Marie has over 12 years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist, working with adolescents and adults across a range of psychological difficulties. She has worked in both public and private sectors, including with the Western Australia Department of Health. For 9 years, she facilitated weekly therapeutic groups at Abbotsford Private Hospital, including 5 years as the sole facilitator of the Schema Therapy and Women’s Group.
Marie maintains an ongoing interest in the relationship between psychological stress, relaxation, and health, which has informed both her clinical and academic work.
Her clinical approach is informed by evidence-based treatments and tailored to the unique needs of each client. Marie is committed to helping clients develop skills that foster psychological growth and personal well-being.
She draws on a number of therapeutic approaches including:

- Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM)
